Spirit of the Growler

ST BALDRICKS FACTS

In the U.S., one in five children diagnosed with cancer will not survive.

Of the U.S. federal funding for cancer research, only 4 percent is solely dedicated to childhood cancers.

More children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease — in fact, more than many other childhood diseases combined.

Before age 20, about 1 in 285 children in the US will have cancer

SB has granted over $200M in childhood cancer research since 2005

St. Baldrick’s Foundation is considered the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer grants worldwide.

In 2017, over 1,000 events have already been registered and more than 36,000 people have registered to shave their heads.

What we do

As the growler volleyball tournament has grown, there is always a local family that is brought into our cause.  It’s not necessarily the money we raise for the family but its more for making the children feel loved and support the family. It helps show that there are community members that have their back.  Take a minute to read a story.  It lets you appreciate the life you have.
