2025 Growler Kickoff – Registration and other info

Growler 2025 kick off letter!

Growler Crew,

As we are just over a month away from the start of Growler 2025!!

Most important topic… Registration is Ready!

Please access the below link to get Registered. Every person is associated to your team already by the Captains. PLEASE USE THE EMAIL THAT YOUR CAPTAIN PROVIDED FOR YOU. If don’t know which email to use… contact your Captain. The email address is your unique identifier… so you cannot sign up multiple people with the same email address (aka kids :) ).

Thank you for playing in the 2025 Growler Beach Volleyball Tournament! To register:

  1. Scroll down to Growler Player Registration. Click green “Signup” button. Only sign in with email, not FB or Google.
  2. Read waiver & click “I agree”. Click Continue.
  3. You should get “You have a spot!” confirmation.
  4. Click “Review Spot”
  5. Verify/Correct contact information & choose t-shirt. (Color & size details: https://growlervolleyball.com and scroll down).
  6. Your team name & Over 21 designation should be pre-selected.
  7. Verify your eligibility also on this page…Click “I am eligible”; https://growlervolleyball.com/rules/
  8. Click “Save and Done”. You will be returned to the main page.
  9. Scroll up and click the green “$$Pay” link.
  10. Choose the $85 radio button & click “Check Out”.
  11. You will again confirm your information. Click “Get text reminders” for weather updates. Click Continue.
  12. Complete payment w/ PayPal or by CC & you are done!

Please complete Registration by June 30th. We will increase the cost $10 at some point on July 1st.

Beyond Registration, the general idea for Growler 2025 is to once again “run it back”. With that in mind here we go

Run it Back:

  1. Same number of teams (36). Same Tournament. First 4 on Monday. Tourney GPI calculation is unchanged. Small tweak: Per earlier email I sent, there will be 9 teams per Division playing Week 2 and 3 (full round robin). Division Champs will be crowned. Week 1 is cross division games (3).
  2. Registration cost is $85 Total
  3. We are not allowing for the purchase of Mulligan’s or extra T-shirts via registration (you can purchase these “on site” as needed).
  4. Most beer vendors are back. White Claw is back as seltzer provider. Most food vendors are back (sourcing some new ones).
  5. GrowlHer is back at Lake Park Aug 9th
  6. Growler Masters is back at Greystone Aug 16th
  7. Jr Growler, like last year, will have an instruction phase in the morning and then a Competitive division (with more teams) in the afternoon to crown a Jr Growler Champion (at Springdale) on August 2nd (Saturday this year!).
  8. Volunteer tracking is unchanged for all Main Growler and Satellite events and the plan is to have those roles available for selection as of early July.
  9. The Player Pavilion is back to aid in providing each player a means of getting food, beer, Gatorade (Thanks Pepsi!) Sponsored and staffed by GFL once again.
  10. The team minimum for fundraising is unchanged at $1500 each.
  11. Growler Gear pricing is unchanged.

Why are we doing this?

  1. Let’s take the momentum from last year and seek to continue the creative ways many of our teams have raised money.
  2. We will once again be doing some more Media involving the Growler kids and will be providing that to you for your own knowledge and also to possibly use in your fundraising pleas. If you need help in writing your email plea to your contacts please let me know as we can help with that as well.
  3. If you haven’t already, please go to St Baldrick’s and set up your individual page. All team pages are in place that you can associate yourself to. As always, I would love for everyone to have a page and attempt some degree of fundraising. $213K (last year’s total) is a big number to beat.
