With the Masters, First 4 and Tournament on the horizon…Some extra follow up
- Still finalizing Volunteering so no update to that within the GPI. I have added some extra $$ not on SB to the team totals (a.k.a. GrowlHer proceeds, some checks direct to Growler etc) so you can see what those changes do to the bracket. Of course we’ll update the SB dollar amounts officially tomorrow as of 6pm and things have definitely changed in that area. So what is listed now definitely isn’t final:
- Go take a look at what you would be seeded if the tournament started tomorrow. Some of you might be surprised with where you sit. There is till time to volunteer or donate $$ to adjust your fortunes… but less than 1 day.
- The “First 8” looms Monday… are you projected to be in it?? :)
- Also evident on this spreadsheet are those teams that haven’t met the minimum fundraising level. Please remember you need to be past $1500 by the end of August to keep your spot for 2026. We have 8 of 36 with work left to do :). (Granted 2 will get a bump from the Masters).
- Up to 209 player pages under St. Baldrick’s Growler page (last year 210, 211 in ’24) AND as a result… We are back on pace!!! 127k today and 127k last year at this time!! Look at you!! Amazing :) Thanks to all who have fundraised so far!!
- As always, Volunteers are still needed (24 open spots next Tues and 15 spots the following Sat Clean up), so please come out and help if you can! (https://growlervolleyball.com/volunteer/).
- We count these hours toward GPI “on faith”… so if you need the points this is a great opportunity to grab them. Again, 1 day left.
- Update on the Growler Gear order. For those interested in the Black Dry Fit Hoodie. In my prior notice… the email for OUR Sue was incorrect… though there is another Sue Schafer out there that made the email NOT bounce back. Sue and Sue are now fast friends and “not our Sue” should be forwarding the emails to “OUR Sue” but if you haven’t ordered already. Timelines- SAT 8/17 6pm – SB deadline for donations and volunteering commitments to factor into Team ranking. We may have to finalize Volunteering earlier so sign up today if you can!!
- SUN 8/18 Midday- Mark/Eric to compile final team rankings / SB earnings. Then post Final night 32 team single elimination brackets/schedule and MOST Importantly “First 8” matchups. Not a lot of time between announcement and Monday night so again… be prepared if it “could be you”. There will be some last minute jostling for position for sure.
