There are a few choice roles related to Parking Monitors (easy job), and Shavee helpers.

We are over $151K on the St Baldrick’s website (we were at $150K last year at this time)… that is 100% what you all have raised on your team and individual pages. Great job!! GBVIT will be making it’s Initial $25,000 donation today from the proceeds of Week’s 1-3. Here we come 200K! We also made it to 222 individual participant pages… LOVE IT!! (216 last year). Taking into account the pending GVBIT donation we’ll pass 1.5 million during the event tomorrow. If I can catch when it happens I’ll let everyone know.

Please be ready 30 minutes prior to your first game Tuesday. The scheduled start times for all games are somewhat flexible (given variable length of preceding games)… so please be ready to play when your time comes (which might not be the time on the schedule itself). Tournament is single elimination. First game is 5:30pm!!

Food Tuesday at Springdale will be provided by Lynnwood Grill, Gonza, Salt and Lime, City BBQ, Ruckus, and Sharky’s. We will also once again have Wicked Links swoop in for some late night nourishment and Jersey Mike’s subs in the player pavilion! LOTS OF FOOD!!
Beer will be available provided by Lynnwood Brewing Concern (LBC) primarily with Daily Pint providing some beer (Edit and Sugar Creek) as well in the lower Pavilion area. White Claw and box wine will also be available. We will have Pepsi products (water, Gatorade, and sodas all over the event as well).

Special Thanks to Lynnwood/LBC, Campbell Orthodontics, Jacobs Construction, Pepsi Bottling, and GFL (our Partners!). We have tremendous Sponsors for sure, but these 5 go above and beyond in so many ways beyond the simple donation to St Baldrick’s. We are so lucky to have all of our Sponsors and there is NO WAY this happens without you all!

Please continue to keep your general area clean. We’ve done really well with this and as we plan for the party to go late Tuesday and into Wednesday morning, please do anything you can do throughout the night as it is greatly appreciated. The reality of trash clean up at 1 am hits hard and usually those still around don’t have much fight left in them :)

Crowds and Parking issues will once again be something to consider. Please consider a CARPOOL or Uber to Springdale if at all possible. Please get with your team members and neighbors to share a ride. As stated Week 1… we were able to negotiate with the property manager next store and have been Approved to park in designated spots. There is a security team there to help direct you to the appropriate spots while also protecting our spots from others once they are free. These guys have been so good to work with!! So please show them the respect they deserve. Aka.. if it’s full, it’s full. I’ll say it again, they really have been like partners and helped smooth things over from years past. Updated map is here:

We have secured some overflow spaces from Just Tires (designated spots only) and the office complex across Fairbanks. Security cannot direct you there because who they are working for does not own that space, but again Cristine and I have spoke to both and they are allowing parking after 6pm. Once again… ONLY IN DESIGNATED SPACES. Do not create spots on their properties. I am trying to secure space in the way back of New Path church (also off Fairbanks) but have not secured that yet. Will let “our” parking folks know if that happens. If you do park across Fairbanks please be very careful crossing the street and walking to SARC. I suggest you cross back to the parking lot in the map above and walk over to SARC. Security will be in that lot “looking out for you”.

GROWLER MASTERS UPDATE:

A quick wrap up… Congrats to “Barely Legal” on the victory! Brooke provided another gem to capture the day. And yes that is is yours truly with my teammates at the end with the Trophy! Checked a box!!!

Thanks to Suzy, her leadership team, and Greystone for a hosting a fantastic event. Lots of creativity and excitement from that crew. They do it SOO well!! Thanks once again to the specific Greystone Growler teams that get together to help Suzy make that event happen! They make “big brother” proud (aka Growler). I have said this before and I TOTALLY feel it more an more each year after being pretty actively involved in GrowlHer and Growler Masters… we have these events NOT at Springdale on purpose and if you go to them you know immediately why!! It’s the “satellites” babies and both Lake Park and Greystone give them great care and make them their own. I love to witness that. On that note… Thanks again also to the Jr Growler crew as they doubled their proceeds this year thru some outside the box thinking and “youthful” energy from AP’s daughter Savannah. Growler team “Here for Beer” in particular runs that event and mostly due to it (but not entirely) is the first Top 4 “D” team EVER in the Final 32 without an automatic bid!! Really amazing feat!

Weather looks promising for tonight (low 80s and partly cloudy)! Thanks to all for all you do! Let’s have fun, raise some $$, and make some memories! See you at the Beach!!
