Growler 2025 Week 3 (August 12th) at Springdale, Greystone, and Lake Park!
First off… what a successful GrowlHer on Saturday!! The ladies brought it for sure! Congrats to “Set-sy and We Know It!” for their repeat title. Brooke did her thing once again and her video tells the tale:

Please be ready 30 minutes prior to your first game. The scheduled start times for all games are somewhat flexible (given variable length of preceding games).. so please be ready to play when your time comes (which might not be the time on the schedule itself 😉 ). Everyone will play 4 games! Division Champs will be determined and EVERY division race is tight at the moment. Lots of opportunity for movement.
We are back at the 3 host locations this week (Greystone, Lake Park and Springdale). Food at Springdale will be provided by Carolina Ale House, Holly Dogs, and Sasool. Food at Lake Park will be V-Pizza and Jersey Mikes. Greystone will offer Manchester’s and Lynnwood Grill Pizza. Springdale Beer options will be provided by Founders, Deep River, and Blackbird. Seltzer from White Claw at all 3 locations. Beer at Lake Park and Greystone is Founders “All Day IPA” and Deep River seltzer is also available. Wine available at all locations as well.

of course, some need to see when they play before they can sign up. But for those not playing… “have at it”. If at all possible please pick a time slot by Monday, 8/18 (no later than 5pm). It will truly help the shaving go much smoother if we can get folks to pick a time slot prior to the final night.
We are at 196 participant registrations under the 2025 Growler St Baldrick’s page (down 10 from ’24)! Also, as of the sending of this email we are over $100k donated to St Baldricks! Just for the sake of comparison. we were at $108K at this point last year. Let’s see if we can catch back up. Jr isn’t calculated yet in this number and they almost doubled this year… so that is pending and will help bridge the gap. GrowlHer was well attended and sold some Merch. Growler Masters expects to be “bigger”… so we are still in the game :) Regardless, we are still doing AMAZING!! If we hit $200K again I’ll be more than satisfied as that will get us over 1.5 Mil :) That being said, more participants would help (wink wink).
We are busy calculating Volunteer hours and adding all non-SB donations to your team totals and once that is done will have the Preliminary GPI available so you can see where you are likely to be slotted in the tournament (Wednesday). Final Volunteering and Giving numbers won’t be closed until Saturday… so it will be tentative, but all the Volleyball aspects will be “fixed” after tomorrow. Again, I hope to have the GPI out Wednesday.
Please help keep your general area clean… we have a multitude of trash cans at SARC (provided by our partner GFL) so locating the trash should not be an issue. Please do the same at LP and GS. We did real well at all locations on Week 2!!
WEATHER UPDATE: After a hot week and a sketchy week that eventually panned out OK… tomorrow looks to be another 50/50 type of day. Hopefully the rain stays away but we shall see. Keep an eye on it and we’ll do our best to make it work no matter what!
