Congratulations to the 2019 Growler Champions and back-to-back winners, Seven Oaks’ Kiss My Ace
The 2019 Growler had a tremendous year, raising over $121,500 so far for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. We’ve exceeded the HALF MILLION dollar mark for total money raised for children’s cancer research. Donations are still coming in, so who knows where we will finish. We are currently the 3rd largest SB event in our region (NC/SC/GA) and in the top 5% of all SB events in the US.

Congrats to the 2019 Senior Growler Champions, Seven Oaks’ AARP
Crabtree Swim Club hosted the second annual Senior Growler Tournament on Saturday, August 17th and raised over $1,500! Thank you to the Crabtree teams for hosting a great event!
The 2019 Junior Growler was a big success
Team Here For Beer again hosted Junior Growler which had over 80 kids play and raised over $1,300 for St. Baldrick’s.
2019 “The Growler Spirit Kid”
Teams Raleigh Brawl and Sand Diggers supported Jack Callahan and his family this year by donating Gatorade and snow cones to sell during each week of Growler. A portion of Growler proceeds were also earmarked for the Callahan family.
2019 Online Auction for Dig for Duke
The Growler also supported Andrea Cornel by raising over $1,000 in her efforts to raise money for Duke Childrens Hospital. Her Dig for Duke Tournament raised over $10,000 this year.
This year the Growler is collaborating with Dig for Duke, a 501c3 charity run by 17-year-old Andrea Cornel. Dig for Duke has raised almost $25,000 over the past 5 years for Duke Children’s Hospital, and this year Andrea is working with the Growler to help raise some additional money for Duke Children’s Hospital. Andrea founded the Dig for Duke volleyball tournament several years ago with a friend at the age of 11.
Andrea is the daughter of one of our players, and she learned about a month ago that she has cancer. In a strange and horrible consequence, she never dreamt that she was promoting a charity tournament that would support her own illness. She’s an amazing young lady.
Growler is supporting Andrea through the online auction, an they are also going to set up a serving competition on the tennis courts on Growler nights to raise money for Dig for Duke.
